Solitary

My cousin and my aunt was kind enough to take me out for the day.  We did an all girls road trip about an hour and a half outside of Sydney.  They took me to this lovely place in a quiet spot to have a view and a meal.

The main selling point of the restaurant, of course, is the view.  Look at that gorgeous view.  Beyond this point is the endless sea of blue gum tree, which covers the mountain, that's why they're called Blue Mountain.

I ordered a spinach salad, which has mushroom on top with a fried camembert in a little cheese cube and of course, with prosciutto on top.  For something that looked tiny, it is quite filling.

We also shared a terrine.  This is a homemade terrine.  Though, I'm a little surprised that this is a compact meat instead of having the fat in there.  Normally terrine has the jelly of the fat as part of it, so it was a little strange not to have that.  The fruit and nuts mix was nice though.

If you don't want a meal there, at least have breakfast or tea there.   The view is breathtaking.  And right outside of the restaurant, there are paths to go down to the bottom of the forest.  The trek is a good hour or so walk, so bring your walking shoes.
