Prego

No, no, I'm not preggo, the place is called Prego, as in in Italian where people welcome you to their place.
We recently found out that they serve gluten free pasta.  Honestly, if you're somewhat careful, you can order what you want on the normal menu fine, but why not give their GF menu a shot?!

Basically, they used corn flour pasta, which gives that hardy feel to the pasta, and can sustain that heavy tomato sauce that they're known for. Of course, they have mozzarella cheese, garlic and basil to complete the taste.

Honestly, it doesn't taste any different than their normal version of the same pasta dish. Now, that said, it's been a while since I've had their pasta, so anything yummy I don't turn away. :D
To top off the night, we shared a creme brulee. Now, this I'm not worried that it's not GF because in order to make a decent brulee, it pretty much have to be. That said, this one doesn't have as much impact as others I've tasted. It's not bad, but I've had better.

Of course, doesn't help that our server was a tad annoyed that we came in on a slow night wanting couple of pasta dishes (which was limited by their menu), instead of their higher priced items. And a little creme brulee instead of their coffee or disgistif. Needless to say, they probably think that serving us was a chore, and we can totally feel it.

If it's not because of their Pollo Salad which is super good, I'd probably would go somewhere else to be treated better, but now we know better.
