Graffiti Raw

Had a girls night out and went to Graffiti Raw
The reservation was pretty particular, like dress code, for larger parties like ours they allowed 120 mins and that's it.  That's alot of pressure when there's a group of you and you want to catch up with friends.  It kinda felt weird since it's a weekday and there's still lots of provisions.

Per our server recommendation, we got the charred grilled octopus. It came with a half of a potato steamed, chorizo, chimichurri sauce, with a generous dab of creme' fraiche.

They cut it all up for us, and mushed everything together, easy to scoop.  It is actually pretty delicious.  Definitely will come back and get this again.

This is the Miso Ceasar salad, since I can't chew, I opted out on that one, but looked good.

This is the Red Snapper Crudo, which is pretty delicious, even though I'm not usually a crudo person.  I enjoyed it.

Roasted Oyster - one of my fav here, still not as good as the ones at Caracol but not bad.

Was eying the Uni Pasta.  At least I can say unlike Moneycat, the pasta is al dente and the sauce is delicious.  There is some kind of chili in there, so you don't taste it while eating, but as it goes down, I felt it.  Alright, let's talk uni: sushi lovers knows uni shall never be slimy or slippery.  It is supposed to be buttery and melt in your mouth, but not fishy or gamey.  I would say, this uni is about to go bad because it started to look slimy and the taste is gamey.  Hope that was a fluke, but definitely tasted more of the ocean than usual in terms of uni.  To date, Chef Billy's Uni Pasta still the top for me.

For dessert, we got: Tres Leche - nice a moist and not too milky but definitely creamy.

This is their Beet Cake - it's kinda like a carrot cake without carrot.  Has enough spice, but also too dry.  Going back to the Tres Leche.

If you want to come here couple things to note.  1, definitely make a reservation and pay attention to their provisions.  We did go over the allotted 120 mins but a tad, no one kicked us out.  But they do come by and check you a bit more frequent.  The place is small, and though they have seating outside, let's face it, even after sun down it's still too hot.  2, parking: if you're smart and lucky, park on the street.  You can valet at Uchi's and walk around the corner.  They do validate, you need to scan the code at the hostess station.  Otherwise, you can do the garage at the Montrose Collective across the way.  You can self park there, but they do not validate.  That is an underground parking, and it's best to walk in numbers because there's no too many foot traffic there.
