Ding Tai Fung

Was just at DTF in the begining of the year, and now back here at the end of the year.
As usual, you want to make a reservation even if you think you may not need it.

Because even with a reservation, there was a in-take and then a wait before our host takes us to a table.  And we were there at the open.

I will say, this time, while we didn't get a 'good' table.  We did get a good sewer who is super attentive.

Started with a glass of Honey Lemonade to quench my thirst.

We ordered truffled XLB - you can really taste the flavors.  And they did say to eat that one first because the flavors are so powerful that it would over power the vinegar-soy sauce mix. So we did just as the server suggested and it's true.

We also got the crab and pork XLB.  You can tell because there's a little crabby there  so there's no mistaking which is which.

This is their Vegan Spicy Wonton - which turns out that I love the sauce so much that we drizzled it on everything.

We got the noodles with diced beef, the sauce itself is fine, but we drizzled the wonton sauce, it went with it so well, it's delicious.  Highly recommend.

As talked about earlier, reservation is key and here's why: since we have a time difference, we were hungry earlier than the local time zone.  We went right at the open even though our reservation is not for another 15-30 mins after.  I even told the staff at the host stand that I'm early for my reservation, they didn't bat an eye. Took us on the first intake stand immediately.  Then, we waited maybe 5 minutes and they seated us.  This happens several more times at other hotels and other restaurants, so definitely having a resection is key.
