Jan Geum Tofu & BBQ

Went to support Chinatown,
and of course, also it was easy to find parking and no wait.  Ended up at Jang Guem Tofu.
Banchan as soon as you sit down.  There are potato salad, pickled spinach, kimchi, fish cake, sprout, and pickled cucumber.
Started with appetizer of Fried Tofu
Got my favorite Bulgogi in a Hot Stone Pot.  The rice really do stick to the pot.  I love the bulgogi meat and then shinoki mushroom on top.  So, this is where the banchan came in handy.  You first mix up the meat and rice together, and then you add any veggie on top to add to the bite.  The lovely thing about it all?  They are pickled and peppered, but they are not spicy at all.  That's my kind of jam.

A tip, if you like one particular barchan, you can ask them to make a small dish of one.  Another Korean favorite is the hard boiled egg, you can ask for that as well.  Yes, there are surcharge for that.
