I've never been to Kyoto before.
Heard that while the bamboo forest is short, it's a must! So we trekked out there, took the train and walked and walked. It was truly pretty and serene in it's own way.
Forest for another kind, it's the kimono forest. They took the different kinds of kimono, to preserve the kimono and to beautify the train stations and areas nearby.
We hopped on over to Osaka from Kyoto, it's about a 22 minutes train ride. The train station has a great food court.
I decided to get a lunch set. The set doesn't even cost 1200 yen, that is literally less than $9 USD. You see it came with my entree, fried pork over rice and sauce. Side salad (which is shredded cabbage), miso soup, potato salad, and little fish cakes. Talk about a full meal. By the way, this is the small size.
