Right pass the carnival, the cookoff has a set up a Wine Garden. You have to buy drink tickets, $2 per ticket. For a tasting (2oz) it takes 2 tickets, half a glass (4oz) takes 4 tickets. Honestly, after all the free beer in the tent city, a tasting is plenty.

They had a lot of wine listing, because we came late, alot of wine were gone.

I tasted this Liberty Creek sweet red, it is actually is sweet. I'm not a big fan of red but they made a believer out of me.
The wine tent picks Texas winery which features them and showcase that Texans do have refined taste, not just a bunch of hicks that drives big trucks. I was quite impressed with the selections they have. I may not care for the drink tickets system too much, but it is nice.
