Whisk Matcha Bar

There's a new Matcha Bar opened and had to go check it out.
The parking lot is not big, so do take care.

The place is very clean lines and fully of Japanese aesthetics.

We havne't figured out how they make those things float, but it's cute.

Sitting at the bar, you can watch the staff prepare your drinks.

One of the staff member was just telling us that if you want heavier flavor node ask them to brew the matcha in warm water.  Conversely, if you want lighter node, ask the to use cold water to brew the matcha.   And you can tell by how dark the matcha is, the warm water brew darker colored matcha.

I ordered the Sparkling Matcha, which is Matcha, sparkling soda with either lemon or strawberry syrup.  I go the lemon one since it's so hot out.

But they have other syrups too, like orange, earl grey, black sesame on top of lemon and strawberry.

Of course, I mixed it all up.  It's nice, that way the drink it's not super matcha concentrated.

Thing is, the pricing is pretty high, and when you sit down you realized why.  As all drinks goes, they are made to order, but unlike coffee, where you can press a button to brew the espresso, each staffer has to whisk your matcha from tea powder to a shot in order to add to your drink.  So you're really paying for that labor.  This is not Starbucks, so there's no mobile order, and if you want quick in and out grab your order type service, this is not it.  Though it doesn't take long, depending on how busy they are, since they are whisking your matcha shot when you order, it does take time.

So far, since their grand opening, they've added hojicha, which is roasted green tea leaves.  It's kinda cooked it before brewing it, the flavor is more nutty but lesser caffeine in comparison to green matcha leaves.  I foresee them adding more menu items as they grow.
