I was driving around with Empanadas in mind...
totally forgotten about this place.
While I had empanadas in mind while walking in, can't help it when I saw other dishes on the menu. They all looked good.
Very excited to see Fried Rice on the list. Strange thing to be excited about, more like curious how Chinese and Peruvian has a mix, and what that look like.
So I got Beef Fried Rice, even the Peruvian pronunciation of the dish is much like Chinese on Fried Rice. This is Chaufa de Carne. First of all, the beef they have here is no chum cut, this is all legit good cut of the meat. There are taste of 'wok' to the dish, much like the heat of the dish, you can feel it on top of tasting it. Not saying it rival good ol' Chinese Fried Rice, but Peruvian Fried Rice has fast becoming my favorite.
I also ordered some Plantain just for good measure, and those are great, just that the main dish has alot of food. Had to box more than half home for dinner. Definitely worth coming back for the other dishes.
