Mack Allen's

Went back to Mack Allen's for Social Hour.
For drinks, I got the Midnight Mint - which has Blackberry Sage Syrup, Lime, Mint, and Club Soda.  It's nice, not too sweet.

Tuna Cakes - must get! It has yellowfin tuna, crispy rice, avocado, unagi sauce, and spicy aioli drizzle.  Really good, most popular at the table.

Corn bread.  These minis come in a pan.  The cornbread has jalapeño and cheddar, and  the center has Honey Butter with Sea Salt.  Pretty delicious.

Chicken lollipops - which was confit drums, it comes with house Cold Slaw, and came with sweet and sour sauce.  Very soft and the mix is very delicious.

Smoked Pork Belly - which I was surprised that I didn't like it as much as I thought I would.  It's glazed, has carrot mole, corn, pickled onion, and chicharron crumbs.  The texture on the pork is great, the mole wasn't doing it for me though, sadly.

Beef Tataki - it's thinly sliced NY Strip, tatami sauce, ponzu sauce, and onion and pepper.  Also very delicious.

Overall, food is delicious, very surprised that happy hour pricing was reasonable but not alot of people took advantage of it. Since I didn't stay too long, not sure how the dinner crowd would be. Despite they weren't busy, they still book me thru the reservation system.  So maybe do one next time you plan on coming here.  That said, they are ready for a big crowd, maybe it was still early, but definitely curious how the dinner service is there.
