Pinkerton BBQ

Been meaning to come by Pinkerton since they opened.
We got there just before the dinner rush started.  So parking was fine for us.  If not, you do have to get creative around the area.

Menu is pretty straightforward, you can get it by the slice or by weigh.

Ended up getting some Rainwater to go with the meal.

For entree, I got 2 meats (brisket and original sausage) and 2 sides (Bourbon Sweet Potato and Bacon Mac & Cheese).  Truly all of the dishes on here nothing bad here.  I just don't have a big enough stomach to finish it all.

The brisket falls apart as you put your fork in it.  The sausage is delicious.  The Bourbon Sweet Potato, you can definitely taste the hint of bourbon - don't worry not enough to get you drink.  And Mac & Cheese, who doesn't love it with bacon?!

For dessert, of course we have to get the Peach Cobbler.  I think it's a rule for eating BBQ in Texas, you must get the cobbler.  If that's too hot of a dessert for you, they do have cakes and pudding in the fridge.  When you line up for your food, you have to pass it in order to place your order.  So you can definitely contemplate before you get to ordering.

The seatings indoor doesn't feel like alot but it really is.  But as folks finish their meals and people lining up to get in, you can get a table relatively easy and the staff does try to help and accommodate too.

If you get there and the building looked familiar, that's because it used to be 59 diner.  They've been closed for a long long time, but the building now repurpose for BBQ and it's worth trying.
