Group of us went to GEN KBBQ
Since we have a sizable group, tried to call ahead like their website said, but it's futile because no one ever answers. You leave a message and no one calls you back. We just resorted to getting there early.
Sat down and they gave you 5 banchan and a bowl of salad. Kinda disappointed that more and more Korean places are pairing down their banchan dishes, which is the trend lately.
We ordered, rib, bulgogi, and pork belly, and you order rice it doesn't come with.
More bulgogi, sliced beef, and some tteobokki.
After a few requests, we got more food and the grill is going strong. Our server was awesome, kept coming by to see if we want to add stuff. At the end, they have fridge and you can grab an macaron ice cream sandwich.
So I picked the place not knowing it was a AYCE - we got there early got a table. Forget about calling ahead to make a reservation. First, they don't take reservation for small parties. The website said that parties of 6 or more to call, but that's futile because you leave a message and no one will call you back.
