The Baker's Son

Saw this on Instagram and thought we give them a try.

They are a Filipino Bakery originally based out of Florida.

When you walked in, rows and rows of goodies are on the shelves.

They have all kinds of cakes and even samplers.

Not everything is sweet there, there are savories as well.  Like pizza, empanadas, and rolls with savory fillings.

I got the Ube Coffee Cake.

Actually, not too heavy on the Ube or Coffee Taste, there's a hint in there, just not heavy on either side.  I do appreciate that it's nice and moist and not dry.  Which sometimes you run into when you get a coffee cake.  They don't crumble on these.

They are open 8am-8pm, don't worry about them selling out, they have a giant kitchen and lots of staff, and constantly churning out food.  They also have a drink counter, in case you want to order your own halo halo, shake, or coffee.

Cherry Foodarama

You know, Asian stores usually have neat food to try, and this is not different.

Near the Medical Center where alot of medical professionals are Filipino Nationals, and this is convenient for on the way to work or home.

Of course, I have to get a Halo Halo.

Main ingredients are crushed ice, coconut milk, beans, coconut strips, ube ice cream.  This is interactive dessert at its best.

On the side is cafeteria style, you ask them to scoop up whatever dishes looks good.

I got a few skewers which were interesting.  The big one is a hard-boiled egg, battered and deep fried.  The one underneath is fish paste ball, the ones in front are lobster ones.  All are pretty good.

As far as grocery store food goes, they have a lot of flavor.  If you want fish, beef, pork, they have it all.  Definitely work a trip down here for it.
