Tommy's

Was working out of Clear Lake and been getting lots of recommendations to go back to Tommy's.
Heard alot of great things about their Oysters and their Happy Hour, really need to plan it better to go there for that.
Instead, I got lunch.  This is the Jambalaya Pasta.  It has andouille sausage, chicken, bell pepper, onion, bit of creamy tomato sauce but not too much.  The pasta was definitely filling with the chicken and the sausage.  It was very hearty, I can see me eating this when it is cold out.  Even if it's 100 degree out, this is pretty suitable, I just can't finish it.

Tommy's Clear Lake

Had another desktop lunch at Tommy's Clear Lake.
Got the Crab Stuffed Mushroom.  Sounded great, but it's very hot on the mushroom caps... Keep that in mind.  Burnt my tongue.
I got the Baked Potato Soup.  Forgot to tell them to skim the sour cream, the soup was thick but not as thick as I like them to be.  They do have good, legit chunks of bacon.  By the time I finished that and the mushrooms, I felt like I ate a lot of calories and needed to be wheeled out.  Sad thing was that it was not as filling as I was hoping for.  Should've gotten a salad.

Bar Bazzar

Drove by this very hip, well in Clear Lake standard, hip coffee shop in the area.
but found no good info online, so had to stop in to check it out.
Bar Bazzar besides, chocolate, coffee, and espresso, they also serve breakfast & lunch.
If coffee is not your thing, you can get Smoothies, teas, juices, and crafted sodas.
Very nice and upscaled decor and this is just for the chocolate section.  You can do fudge, artisan chocolates, just pay to your right, which looks like...
This, sorry it's a tad dark.  This is where they make coffee, take your order (and your money) and it's attached to their kitchen.
I ordered a Green Tea Chai Latte.  Had to say that because it's To-Go, they didn't do the latte art on there.  That was a bit disappointing, BUT!  The taste of the latte made up for it.  It's pretty damn good.  I don't mind getting that again.
I also got a chocolate cookie to go.  Which cost $2.  That said, I get that they're trying to have some sort of presentation with my to-go order.  So, I waited longer for the cookie than I did the latte.  So, it's nice and piping hot.  It's so hot that you can't pick it up to eat right away.  Well, the wise thing would be to let it cool off, so I did.  EXCEPT, it became rock hard, harder than moon rocks.  I can't even taste the chocolate chips, which I can see it's in there, but don't know where the taste went.  Curious.

The place does give off the hoity toity vibe, but it's none of the sort when you walk in. All the servers are friendly.  The afternoon I went, there was not a seat to be found, and it's not because people bought a cup of coffee and camp out all day.  These people are buying food and enjoying the afternoon.  So, don't be surprise when you get there, it's packed.  Definitely will go back and try other coffee or non-coffee drinks.

Pho 21

Went back to Pho 21 for lunch.
Got the BBQ Pork and rice.  Unlike the BBQ the South is accustomed to, this just mean it was cooked on open grill and specially marinated.  No BBQ sauce involved.  I like the taste of the pork, but it's not the normal Grilled BBQ pork that I'm used to tasting in other Vietnamese restaurants.  Not saying if it's good or bad, just different.
I also got the egg roll.  I know fish sauce is not very popular because of the taste, but for this type of eggrolls, you MUST dip it in the fish sauce to get the maximum taste.  Seriously, go give it a try!

Tommy's

Right by my office building, they have a nice restaurant.  Thought I'd give it a try.
Grab a quick bite... got it thru the bar.
Here's the crawfish enchiladas, they love the corn, as you can see, a third of the plate is corn.  The enchilada has decent meat in there, but you see tons of sour cream and cheese on it.  I'm not a big fan of sour cream, so I ended up scraping alot of it off.  There were tons of cheese and luckily they have enough amount of crawfish meat to balance it off.  Little to say, I had the broccoli in attempt to make the entire meal more balance.  The other stuff looks more promising, maybe they'll be better.

Pho 21

I was working in the Clear Lake area, and was looking for lunch.
I stumble upon this place.
I got Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio, which is Vermicelli with Grilled Pork with Egg Roll.  The problem is that they brought me grilled chicken... I was wondering why it tasted with more meat than the normal pork.
I also ordered the Che 3 Mau, which is usually a drink that truly is a dessert but people will serve it as a drink.  The problem here... they waited it for dessert to serve, so it didn't arrived until my main dish was done.  And as you can see, there's more ice than anything else... or rather proportionately, it's half ice and half everything else.  And it should really have 3 colors, but you only see 2.  They should've had mung beans (yellow), aduzki beans (red) and pandan jelly (green), and top it off is the coconut mlik.  I didn't see much of coconut milk even though I tasted some.  Basically, it's not the same.

This seems to be hot spots for alot of offices in the area.  All the staff are friendly but do they get the instructions... well, base on my order that day, I'd say no.  Is the food good?  Perhaps in the proximity, there are better closer to the freeway.  Given it does mostly office people's lunch business, this will do.
