So went to Da Gama at MKT for dinner.
It is definitely a good group dinner kinda place.
Pretty menu to boot.
I got the Berry Nimbu Pani - it is Indian Limeade with berries, lime juice, salt rimmed, mint, and soda. It really taste like limeade with Topo Chico, more fizzy and not too sweet.
Vada Pao in the back & Veggie Samosa. The Pao itself has the sweet buns, but the center is potato tiki but it tasted a lot like the bombas. The samosa is vegetarian but it has curry in there, so if you're not a fan, skip. I quite enjoyed it to be honest.
Casava Bombas, it's a yucca croquette with cheese, chutney, and tomato bits. It's ok, but not my favorite.
Saag Paneer - chard and collard greens and the bread has slices of cheese inside. One of the better dishes for the evening.
Mum's Chicken Curry, it's not bad with the naan. It's a tad spicier than I'd like. But the sauce is nice.
This is the Bullet Naan - basically regular naan with more kick in the spices. So yes, it's spicier.
Watermelon chaat - which is like a salad which is refreshing while it's still hot outside.
Then we got the grilled octopus, which out of all the dishes, was my favorite for the evening. Nicely grilled and potato on the side. If you can still get it, I highly recommend.
For dessert, we were asking if they have access to Pasteis de Nata - Portuguese Tart. Which I know they sell them at the window on the weekends. My only disappointment about that was that they took a long time to get these 3 little tarts. For the size and the dollar is definitely not proportion. So while I know they sell out on a lot of days, but this one is not as great as it sounded.
The rest of the service was good, it does get crowded, so you should book ahead or pick a week day to go. Parking is fine at M-K-T, there are parking everywhere. Do go a bit early because as more shops are going in, it does get busy.
