Drove past this location many of times, finally got a chance to stop in.
And who doesn't like taco for breakfast? We're in Houston, after all.
You walk in, they are very proud to show you that they do not do frozen, microwave or use non-fresh ingredients.
You order what you want, they are made to order. A little bit like Chipotle where they have various kinds of meat, cheese, veggies & beans to choose from. They also have Salsa bar for you to mix and match your sauces.
As usual, I gravitate towards Agua Fresca's. I never had Jamaica before, but the Pineapple one looked appealing on a not morning. And the cup is huge, so it keep you refreshing for a good while.
Turned around the corner and found this mock-up of the sign in Austin. And boy, is that true for me or what?!
On the wall, they have some kitch faux-TV cover for the flatscreens they've got and showing some retro shows.
What did I get: I got the Pineapple Agua Fresca and a breakfast plate. I had scrambled eggs and they put cheese in it. Carne asada (sans jus), onion, cilantro, and refried beans. It came with 2 very hot-off-the-grill tortilla. The whole thing actually is alot of food, but also understand why it's one of the more popular items.
This is a pretty fun place, I can see people popping in afterwork, grab some tacos and some cervazas and hang while waiting out the traffic. Breakfast was low chill, not busy, plus food is fresh and made to order. Pretty good deal.
