One of the things I heard was that there's a Texas bar in Japan.
Well, yes, of course I have to go check that out.
Little Texas, it's a little honky tonk. Hey! What's Bucee's doing here?!
I think the placemat is cute, and for Japan, that's something'.
Since there's no peanuts for shellin', they gave us popcorn to start.
The bar is very much like a Texas bar. You can't really see it, but there are Whataburger Numbers, more Bucee's merch. There are also college signs here too. Imagine Texas folks who knows about the place been bringing the owner a piece of Texas.
Yes, I brought something too... if you go, I brought shot glasses from the Houston Rodeo, so if you do go, and see them. You know it's from me.
Alright! What did I eat? I got the Texas Fried Steak, which is their version of Chicken Fried Steak. I will say that the steak is not dried, the gravy is not too mushy. It came with cole slaw salad, a little side of mashed potato, with toast. Now, let's not get overly excited and think they have Texas Toast, because it ain't. But they have really good bread in Japan in general, so that replacement was easy to make do.
At any rate, the owner is the bartender, waiter, cashier, chef all in one. But he does make quick work once we placed our order. We enjoyed our popcorn and beer, and dinner came shortly after.
The place is small, like all restaurants in Japan are, but they managed to squeeze some space for the band, a tiny dance floor - good for line dance, not partner dance, per se. No room to dance around the floor. But many tables for music really.
You can tell the owner really genuinely enjoy the Texas culture, he even had a cowboy wedding.
