Time for another kind of KFC - Korean Fried Chicken, that is.
Been meaning to stop by Bonchon, and finally near midtown to do that.
If you order ahead, you can park on this little side carve out right by the side door and slip in to pick up your food and can leave. Quick grab n' go.
The box came out to be bigger than I though.
But first, Seasoned Fries which has parmesan, parsley and some kind of herb like thyme. It's nice and crispy.
As I opened up the box, my jaw dropped. When you order wings at BW3, they are mostly small 'uns. Here, every piece of leg is ginormous. I got a half and half, which is half soy garlic (which does have a little kick) and half spicy (it is spicier than the soy garlic but not super duper spicy). Don't underestimate, it is hot.
To even things out, they are accompanied by a side of pickled radish. It is such a thing that in K-Drama, people would go to stores like these to have chicken and beer. Or please that has better radish than chicken at their shop. So, it's a popular item. It's ok by me, not too sour, and does cut the spicy hotness. I'm down with that.
Best thing to do, order ahead and go pick up. You can also order online.
