Friend of mine found this neat little gem in Pearland
Don't blink because you can easily drive past this place.
Let's grab a cup of Thai Tea first...
Saw Roti with Curry sauce and I'm not one to pass that. The roti came out nice and hot, and the sauce is pretty dang good too. Get to mix with rice for another time.
Lot's of yummy stuff, again eyes was bigger than the stomach. Not uncommon here.
Main reason for coming here, the Hainanese Chicken. Flavoring is a little different but good in its own way. The rice is not as much coconut flavor as I'd thought, which is fine. The chicken has a moist texture and the marinated soy sauce, great taste.
Chinese Broccoli with Samba sauce, it has a bit of kick to it. Unlike a dry stir fried, it is a sauce and you see those little pepper flakes on there.
Under the persuasion of the server guy, he said to try their Koay Teow, which is what they're known for. So we did, since he's so confident in the dish. Turns out we liked it more than other dishes we ordered. Another dry stir fry, it is a Seafood one, with lots of protein on top of flat noodles, sprouts, scallion and egg.
The place is kinda small. So if you do want to come with a group, come early before peak dining hours. We came a little early and by the time we left the place was swamped. Dishes can definitely stand on their own. I'm excited that they have some really good Malaysian food, though not close. But happy to have more delicious options.
