Soma Sushi

I've been meaning for David to try Soma Sushi.  I haven't been there for a while and it was time for a revisit.
I find it easier to get a table when it's on a Saturday afternoon than the peak happy hour or dinner hours.  Since it's located on Washington, it's hard to find parking during those hours.  By the way, their happy hours are pretty liberal, and on Saturday it's from Noon till 7pm.
Here we have Ahi Tuna with truffle oil and scallion, Toro sushi, Madai with ponzu and crispy leeks.  All three were very good, and even though it's expensive per piece, the fish was awesome and I believe everything should have truffle oil on top, it was delicious.
Then I had the King of Kings roll, it was king salmon, king crab, spicy tuna, with yuzu.

All around, I've always had a great time at Soma, but this time was a tad weird.  One of the server just up and left in the middle of the service.  So one server and one bust person basically took care of everyone.  The sushi chef stepped off and help serve the customers at the sushi bar, so it's nice that everyone pitched in.

Don't know if you know this or not, but Soma is part of Azuma's restaurant group, which means all the Azuma locations, Soma, and Kata is part of the family.  So, when the sushi chef recognized David from Kata, we then realize they all rotate thru the restaurants.  Kinda neat.
