Eunice

Been meaning to try Eunice for a while, finally got a chance!

I really love the space, bright and light yet simple and classy.

This is the St Landry Sidecar - which has orange liqueur, egg white, brandy, lemon, and champagne.  That tasted good, but already a bit too alcohol taste for me.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Oysters on the half shell: (clockwise) Gulf, Alabama, and Massachusetts.  It's very easy to tell, the Gulf ones are big but discolored, Alabama ones are big but more pearly.  East Coast's are smaller, but less gritty.

This is the Burrata with Biscuit, the biscuits were so good that we got an extra order for $5 add-on.  It has caviar and pepper jelly, it helped bring out the taste of the burrata.  Highly recommend.

This is the Duck Poppers, it is duck wrapped around a jalapeño, which I'm not typically a fan, but the duck is not dry and it taste all mix well together.

For the entree, I got the Gumbo with chicken and sausage.  This is huge for a bowl, and for the side it came with a side of mustard potato salad, which actually tasted amazing.  The gumbo came with rice and okra.  For me, I would've liked the roux to be thicker, this is more soup consistency.

This falls into the my eyes were bigger than my stomach category.  This is their quail, which we saw the table next to us got an order and we can't help ourselves.  They are fried, yet not dried, and there's a sweet tabasco honey sauce on top.  It was delicious on its own, but if you add some side to go with it, it will be just gas yummy.

I didn't have any more room for dessert, but got a cup of coffee instead.

Look at how cute their cheque comes to you in this format.  Reminds you really sending off something fancy.  Nah, just my bill.

So, reservation is highly highly recommended.  They do occasionally do walk-ins, but be prepare to sit at the bar.  For parking, they do have valet but the signs weren't very clear, I somehow ended up in the garage myself and grab a spot that is not reserved will do.  Frankly, over all, I enjoyed the appetizers way more than the entree itself, and we saw several tables ordered the Dan Dan Shrimp, so that's our next list.
