So we just got back from LA, and stayed in Downtown area and found Louie.
At first, we were super excited about them opening so late and have breakfast...
When we walked in, we were greeted by all these awesome macarons!!!! Look at how beautiful they are in a tree...
They have assorted stuff besides the macarons... croissants galore, there are muffins and brioche and danish too.
More of that beautiful macaron tree.
I got the pain aux raisin (raisin bread) and a ham and cheese croissant. The ham and cheese croissant was definitely savory and they do not skim on the meat. You do get tons of cheese and it was pretty filling for a breakfast.
The pain aux raisin is great too... bring back my childhood as a kid having danish raisin bread, they sure got the balance right. Although, when it comes to true taste the Central Market one was definitely better than this one.
I know they also serve seatings, but they don't open until 8am, while the to-go counter opens at 6:30p. And while they do have variety of coffee, bottled or canned drinks, if you want orange juice, they do not keep any at the counter and you would have to wait till 8a for them to fresh squeeze some for you.
