Trendy Dumpling

So Mom requested noodles, you go where Mom wants to go...
Trendy Dumpling is located where Spicy Girl West U used to be.  It was also another Chinese eatery the previous business as well.
Since they were at soft opening stage, they were offering limited menu.  So, we got the Beef Stewed noodles.  The flavors are there, the meat is soft and fall apart as you bite into them.  The noodles however weren't cooked all the way.  Some part because the soup is hot that it cooks it as it sits.  I will tell you that the first few bite was not the case...
Next is Xiao Long Bao.  They offer either chicken or pork.  The taste is there, lots of soup inside the dumpling.  What was a bit off was that we had to request for the ginger and vinegar, which is the normal sauce that goes with the dumpling.  The flavor is ok but not robust.  If they add more something to it, it'll be great on its own.

I did see the rumored Uni XLB on the menu, but since it's a soft opening, it wasn't an option.  I don't mind going back to go and try once it's available.  I also look forward to the Pan Fry Bao too, that's one of my favorites for Shanghainese dish.
